What is the truth
to be found in beauty?
The slumbering spirit
of the exquisite lurking
just out of view in so many things,
revealed for all to see
so very infrequently.
What honesty can be seen,
when the truth lies unglimpsed?
Too much goes unappreciated
because many people,
far more than should,
draw a line of demarcation,
stating beauty can only be skin deep,
when the precious essence
of what is beautiful blooms in everyone.
All you need are the eyes,
and the courage,
to look deeper into the world around you.
